This month, we take an in-depth look at Eastenders, the huge English run outlet. |
![]() |
EastEnders is situated just a matter of minutes from the Calais ferry terminal by car. |

EastEnders is awesome. Passing through the entrance, visitors are immediately struck by the scale of the place. It is bright and airy. Although there is a bustling, busy atmosphere, staff seem to have time to help and advise. There are English speaking staff and they afford a typical "East End" welcome.
It
would be very easy to get lost inside, amongst the sheer volume of goods on
offer. However, Eastenders is sensibly and clearly laid out, avoiding such problems.
There are clearly defined beer and spirits sections, and wines (from all over the world) are set out by country and region.
If
you know what you want, you can go straight to it, but the more adventurous
can wander through the aisles, to be
tempted by produce from far flung places.
Staff have clearly tried hard to brighten up the interior, making the point that this is not just a pile it high, sell it cheap establishment.
However, visitors should not be deceived.
Thanks to the immense buying power of EastEnders, there are plenty of bargains to be had, including some special offers on cider and 20 litres of "bag in the box" wine for just £12!!
Whether
you are a serious connoisseur or a booze-cruiser looking for low cost quality,
EastEnders is well worth a look.
